Girly Chip Soy Latte

This is a long overdue post, I’ve had these lenses since last year. I’ve already got a new pair so I’m throwing this out. Before I do so, here’s a short review.

Comfort: 7/10

These lenses seem to be prone to drying out faster than my other lenses.

Design: 6/10

Though the color is too yellowish, they don’t seem too striking when put on, which is a good thing since I opt for natural looking lenses. Still, it doesn’t really appeal to me much.

Enlargement: 9/10

The usual 14.5mm, they enlarge well.

Overall: 6/10

It doesn’t really feel too comfortable for me.

Tony Moly Crystal Eye Decoration.

Mae’s birthday gift to me last month, Tony Moly Crystal Eye Decoration in Peach. Yay! Thanks a lot! My friends know I love cosmetics!

So, one side is with lots of shimmer, good for using as a highlighter under your eyes. I swear, I fell in love with it when I first tried it. It made my eyes look dewy!

And this other side acts as an eyeliner. Unfortunately for my monolids, it doesn’t show up very much but I tried my best for it to show on the photograph so you can see it.

I’m using GEO Bambi Almond circle lenses. I hope you can notice the shimmer under my eyes, just beneath the waterline. It’s not that thick because I smudged it, one sweep of the shimmery side of the Crystal Eye Decoration is already pretty thick so you’d have to smudge it to tone it down.

I have monolids and this is the only angle that the eyeliner would be visible. If I open my eyes, you wouldn’t see it at all, but I still like applying it sometimes! I also use the eyeliner on the waterline and on the outer corners of my eyes, and smudge it and apply black eyeliner on the days I feel like being emo. Hahahaha!

Because it’s pretty humid here, staying power is not that long and I’d have to touch up a few times in a day, but you can see the shimmer still stays on your skin so it doesn’t really melt altogether, just a few dabs of the shimmer and eyeliner once in a while.

So, that’s it. ‘Til my next make-up adventure!

EOS GBK-1 (14.5mm) Circle Lens Review

Comfort: 9/10

Yes, comfortable enough to be worn the whole day everyday! ^_^

Enlargement: 9/10

The usual 14.5mm, they enlarge really well!

Design:9/10

For the perfect dolly eye look. It blends perfectly well with dark brown eyes, The lighting just got weird with these photos above but let me provide you with another photo using different lighting:

As you can see, this was taken on another lighting (can’t remember though since I took this from a different day) and you can see how black it can be.

Thus,

Color: 9/10

Black eyes on dark brown Asian eyes for the dolly-ish/baby-ish look.

Overall: 9/10

GEO Bambi Almond Circle Lens Review

This was one impulsive buy, I was just browsing the net one lazy Sunday afternoon, then I placed an order for these lenses. Hahahaha! I love being implusive. It was fine, though, because my current lenses are expiring soon.

The GEO authentication stickers.

These lenses are part of the Bambi / Princess Mimi that Tsubasa Masukawa designed. I see most people on Popteen wearing these lenses from this series.

Now, on with the review.

Comfort: 7/10

I dunno why, my current EOS pair feels more comfortable. The lenses are too soft, I’m having difficulty telling whether the lenses are inside out or not, I swear, it just looks the same either way. I just rely on using the color and design as indicator since the black ring is not very strong when it’s inside out.

Enlargement: 9/10

The usual enlargement of 14.5mm lenses. BIG!

Design:9/10

Nice enough.

Color: 6/10

I know the lenses are brown, but when I put it in my eyes, they look grayish.

Overall: 7.5/10

Camille.

I’m always wandering off to where beautiful things are. I’m in love with the rain and with the late afternoon summer sunshine. With a camera, a pen and paper, and a good book, I will take on and journey the world. Come with me?
